Easter (Part 2)

It's about time for an Easter post don't you think!

Since I'm not able to blog as much anymore, I'm not able to write about all the fun & funny things that happen, but this story I must share before I post Easter photos.

Last Wednesday, Reagan and I went to dinner with some girlfriends.  She did so well up until it was time for dessert.  She tried to climb out of the high chair and then started crying.  I thought maybe she had gotten her leg pinched or something, but now I'm thinking it was maybe some cramping in the belly.

Oh yes, you know where this story is going!!

I sat her on my lap, facing me, for a little mommy snuggle time.  All of a sudden I felt this warmth consume her diaper.  Reagan looked at me like, "Something just happened!"  My eyes got big and I said to my girlfriends, "I think she exploded!"  I leaned over, lifted up her dress, and my girlfriends jumped on me with napkins.

Reagan's diarrhea was literally flowing out of the top of her diaper.  By now it was also oozing onto her legs and there was a nice blob on my skirt.  Disgusting!

"I don't have any extra clothes!", I said.  Once again I am caught with a diaper bag free of a change of clothes.  Luckily my friend Erin offered to run to Children's Place to pick up a new outfit.  Megan came to the bathroom with me.  I knew I would need back up.  I waddled to the bathroom with a big poop stain in the middle of my skirt while Reagan was carried with cloth napkins stuck to her back to stop the diarrhea from falling onto the floor.

Oh yes, we were a hot mess!

Once we got into the bathroom, Reagan's dirty clothes went into one plastic bag and the diaper along with a ridiculous amount of dirty wipes went into another bag.  At that time the only thing that wasn't covered in poop was Reagan's socks.  She stood on the bathroom floor with nothing on but her polka dot socks and a bow in her hair.  Then she started to pee while at the same time saying, "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh."  I stood there immobilized.  "Is this really happening?!"  I do have to admit that it was pretty cute that she knew peeing on the floor was not exactly something that should be happening.  The socks got added to the dirty clothes bag and I got to cleaning up the bathroom floor.

I had thought about taking my camera before I left for the night, and decided against it.  Man do I wish I had taken my camera!!   The photos would have been priceless.  I'm just thankful for the extra hands for help and the fact that we were having dinner at the mall.  What would I have done with no clothes!!

Now, onto some Easter pictures!!

The girls were able to have 2 Easter egg hunts this year.  The first was at my parent's house.  While Ruthie was waiting for her cousins to come over, she noticed that the Easter bunny had left some goodies outside!

A trail of candy and eggs.

The real fun was finding the eggs that had money in them in the backyard.

Ruthie was so proud to have filled up her Easter bag with all her eggs.

Since it was really windy outside, we did Reagan's Easter egg hunt inside.  She was napping while the older kids did their hunt, so I was shocked when she knew exactly what to do.

Pick up an egg...

put it in your bag...

then inspect the bag and decide if you really want to keep the egg in there...

or shake it in your hands!

Next up, Easter Sunday!
