<h3>Happy 4th of July!</h3>

So I'm one day late getting this post up but I was so tired last night I didn't have the energy to do it. We spent all afternoon out in the heat and we were all stinky and exhausted when we got home. We went to our friends' house in Lancaster.  I thought it would be important to show you that our farm friends duct tape their wiffle balls to make them go farther.  Is that a Lancaster thing or do other people do that too?

Seth and Deanna live on a farm so Seth took the girls and I on a tour.

The barn is over a hundred years old & has 2 cats living in it now.  Do you notice that Reagan is wearing a ring from the ring toss game on her wrist?!  That girl will turn anything into a piece of jewelry.

You know the most important thing to do on the 4th of July is...FIREWORKS!!  At first Ruthie was very unsure.  She does not like anything that is loud.  

Once she figured out all you do is throw the little poppers on the ground and they go POP, she went through 2 bags in no time.  Reagan was not allowed to throw them b/c we were afraid she was going to try and eat them first.

I love this picture.  I think I say that at least once every blog post but there are some pictures that just melt my heart.  Reagan's hair is turning more and more blonde as the summer goes on.  I'm still holding out hope that she'll be a brunette, but her hair is looking more and more like Ruthie's color everyday.

After fireworks we had a little snack and Reagan was going around with a piece of bread hanging out of her mouth.  She's the jokester in the family like her daddy.

This is Dale.  I just wanted to include this picture b/c I have been working on getting better at taking pictures and I thought this one turned out great.  I am not a fan of cats, but I am a fan of this cat.  He was so friendly and always came up to us for a petting/purring fest.

Now back to the 4th.  Reagan was pretending to lounge in the chairs like Seth.  She is looking at him here...

and then cracking up at herself.  This girl makes any day a lot more fun.

Here's Ruthie showing us her bumble bee firework.  We didn't let her light off any but she had fun watching Seth and daddy do it.

The last 2 pics were taken with B's iphone and I think they turned out pretty well.  

Ruthie is a natural model.
