Sooooo.....I have had this last post put together since this past Monday. I didn't have a chance to get it posted and since Tuesday my world has been turned upside down.
In a good way.
I GOT A JOB!!!!
I interviewed on Tuesday and an hour and a half later was offered the job. I was hired for the part-time position, but as of today I am now officially full-time. Praise the Lord!!
I've been spending my free time buying scrubs and nursing instruments, getting a physical, signing papers, going to bible study, cleaning, organizing, running to the storage unit, playing outside with my girls, and most importantly trying to savor these last few days. I start work Monday!!!
I have not had a job in two and a half years. I can't even imagine what getting my first paycheck as a nurse is going to feel like. In fact, I think I may sleep with my nursing badge Monday night. We get our picture taken Monday morning during orientation. EEEKKK!!! I'm soooo excited!!!
Lets back up a bit though. Recently my mom purchased a bike and a trailer. She wanted something to pull the grandkids along in.
I love riding a bike and love it even more when the girls can go with me!
After the quick bike ride Saturday morning, we went to Benihana for my niece Haley's birthday.
Ruthie is petrified of the places that cook in front of you and "do fire". Do you see her hiding in her seat?!
Once she realized they were not going to do the fire trick and light the whole grill on fire, she was fine. She loved all the tricks they do when cooking the food.
Afterwards we went over to my brother Adam's house for cake and ice cream. I got to snuggle with my new niece Kendelle. Love, is all I have to say. I don't miss the constant attention and sleepless nights, but she fell asleep in my arms and melted my heart.
Reagan did not get a chance to take a nap that day until 4pm. WAAAAYYY past her normal nap time. She was asleep in the car in no time.
The next day we got up there was a certain visitor hanging out in my parent's pool.
It was a "pool ducky" as the girls called it. I know the pool looks gross, but my parents had recently taken the cover off and were in the process of cleaning and shocking it. Today my dad said it was ready to go!
That same morning my mom and I took the girls for a walk with their baby dolls.
Ruthie wore her princess dress.
We didn't even make it to the end of the street before Reagan fell and tore up her knee. This was the first of many injuries. She was bitten in the face by my brother's dog twice that day. The bite on the lip almost sent us to the ER. Uggghhhh!!!
It was so hot that day that Reagan was in charge of keeping the sippy cups cool.
Ruthie was in charge of pulling weeds for Memaw.
She was a pro at it.
These last set of pictures are of the roses from my mom's rosebush. I just think they are beautiful.
I have a ton of other pictures from the past few days that will have to wait until the weekend. Enjoy the sunshine!!!
