I became a MOM!
Ruthie's 4th birthday was this past Tuesday! The day of her birth was like a dream come true for me. She satisfied that longing in me to be a mom. She is the sweetest, most precious little lamb of God.
Here she is on her 1st birthday...

I bet you can guess what birthday this is...

and probably this one too...

there seems to be a theme here!
I took cookies from Mrs. Goodman's bakery to Ruthie's preschool class to celebrate. These are my favorite sugar cookies!
Here's a pic of Ruthie's class. Mrs. J is in the green and Miss A. is in gray sweater. They are Ruthie's teachers. Mrs. J had the children lay hands on Ruthie and pray for her for her birthday. That just melted my heart!
This is Alexis, Ruthie's best friend.

No time for talking, just time for cookies.
Everyone in the class sang Happy Birthday to Ru and of course, enjoyed their cookies.
As soon as we got home, it was time for Ruthie to decorate her birthday cupcakes.
Here's the finished product. You can see in the background Ruthie's birthday dinner. Around here, when it's your birthday, you get to pick what you want for dinner. At first Ruthie said all desserts. She settled on hot dogs, carrots, pears, apple cider, and pumpkin pie!
This is the prayer Ru says before dinner almost every night. This is just so precious!Time for gifts! This was a Diego card from Mom & Dad.
Ruthie was really into her cards this year.
Nana got her a flashlight that moos!
Love her expression on this one. She said, "Ponies!"
I tried to wrap all her gifts instead of putting them into bags. It's a lot more fun to rip the paper and see what's inside.
By the end of the birthday gift extravaganza, Ruthie was tearing through gifts, throwing them across the table and asking for another one.
We ended the night by singing her Happy Birthday. She was very proud to be turning 4 years old!
