Weekend Playdate

This past Saturday Ruthie, Reagan, and I headed up to Cuyahoga Falls to visit my friend Melissa and her daughter Eleanor. Melissa and I went to college at OSU together and our baby girls are just one month apart in age. You might remember the first time they met each other here.

As you can see by Reagan's expression on her face, she was SOOO excited to see Eleanor. Eleanor kind of has a "too cool for you" expression on her face!

Reagan has learned to wave hi and bye opening and closing her fingers. You can kind of tell a little bit in this picture that she was waving hi.

Reagan has also become quite the cruiser. She is also reaching out for things to walk along. She loves it when you hold her hands and walk across the floor with her. I still can't imagine Reagan walking, but I know it's going to happen in just a matter of months!!

Melissa and I went and picked up some lunch before the big OSU vs Michigan game. While we ate lunch, the girls had a snack. There's nothing better than the taste of puffs off the floor right girls?!

Isn't Eleanor's face in this pic so cute?!

Here they are cheering for the Buckeyes! Do you see what is on Eleanor's onesie?

Here's a close up.....

Just what every diehard OSU fan in training needs!! We start them young up here in Buckeye country:)

This is one of my all time favorite pics of the girls playing together. They just look like the best of friends already!!!

And you know what best friends need.....

MATCHING OUTFITS!!!!

I swear, this time I did not buy them! Missy found them at Carter's and just knew our girls would look so cute in them. Oh my gosh, I just love seeing them in their matching outfits. They both are just so darn cute!

I was trying to get a cute pic of the girls playing with this toy together. Isn't Eleanor's face so cute in this pic! She is standing on her tip toes too!

Say cheese!!

We then thought they might like to play with a doll that had an OSU dress on. Can't you tell their so enthused??!!

"Ummm mom, what exactly do you want us to do with this?"

"Boring! We're outta here!" Both girls had no interest in the doll and took off crawling!! lol

As with any good playdate, all things must come to an end. Ruthie did not get a nap & right after the game, she started having a meltdown. Perfect time to go! I headed out to the car with her while the girls started crawling around the front door.

Here Reagan spots me by the car.

"NOOOO, mommy don't leave me!", Reagan says. While cute little Eleanor is waving bye saying, "Thanks for coming and you can leave my best friend here to play with me!"

I of course didn't leave my sweet baby. She was asleep in the car along with her sister almost the whole ride home!!

Ahhhhh, peace and quiet!

Thanks Melissa for having us over!! Oh, and of course for the brownie sundaes too:)

  1. We had a great time too! It was so fun to see the babies play and watch Ruthie "mother" them! She is such a great big sis. Can't wait to do it again :)
