I have had this post in my draft box for 3 days now. I just can't seem to get my thoughts together. I want so bad to convey what an amazing weekend we had and I just can't seem to find the words to describe it. It was a weekend filled with the Lord, led by our amazing friends.
Meet the Augustines!
Rather than rewrite this post over and over, I'm just going to publish it with the words I've already written and let the pictures speak for themselves. Basically what I wanted to convey was that the Lord used the Augustines in a mighty way, there's some great and exciting things that the Lord is doing in my family's life, and we had loads of fun together!! Now, onto the show...
This was our first road trip as a family of four. As soon as we were on the road, Reagan fell asleep with a fork in her hand! Currently Reagan's favorite thing is to play at the kid's table with all the plates, cups and utensils. I knew I had to pack some for the car to keep her entertained.
Our first stop was lunch at Sonic.
Ruthie got a toy football in her kid's meal so we took some time to throw the ball. She had no problem throwing the ball...
but when it came time to catch it, she would cover her head instead of reaching out to catch the ball.
What was supposed to be a 5 hour trip ended up taking us 7 hours. We are new to the whole traveling long distances with small children thing!! lol
Friday night Christine offered to watch the girls so Brendan and I could go out on a date. Ashley and Jeff had plans to go to a father/daughter dance so it was just the young ones at home. Andrew was a great help in playing with Ruthie and Abby so that Christine could put Reagan to bed.
Saturday morning it was time for cartoons.

Ashley was a huge help with Reagan. She loved taking care of her.
If we lived closer, Ashley would definitely be our babysitter.
Every night Ruthie would say she would want to sleep with Abby in her room, but in less than 5 minutes she would be calling out for us saying she wanted to sleep in our room with Reagan. By the last night, all the kids had a sleepover in Abby's room and Ruthie spent the whole night there!!
Needless to say, the way home Monday was a quiet one!
