Christmas

Christmas is long over but I am just now getting around to posting the pictures because I wanted to wait until we had a chance to celebrate Christmas with my family in Fairfield.

Since the girls were sick we were not able to celebrate till this past Tuesday.

So lets start things off with a classic picture. Reagan crying and Ruthie smiling. We were trying to get a picture of their matching shirts from their aunt, uncle and cousin from Georgia, but Reagan wasn't having it.

We did not officially celebrate Christmas with Brendan's side of the family until the 27th. By then both girls were doing much better.

This is Ruthie giving Nana a picture of the two of them together. Even though Ruthie and Nana see each other everyday, we don't seem to have many pictures of the two of them together. {goal for 2010-take more pics of Ruthie & Reagan with their grandparents}

Ruthie got some new sparkly ballet slippers from Nana.

This was the hit of the night. Her very own camera! I don't think this gift trumps the makeup brushes, but it comes very close.

I love this next set of pictures because you can see Reagan's personality come through. Be warned that some of the pics are blurry and Reagan is still in her birthday dress. I forgot to change her into her Christmas dress.

Reagan's first encounter with anything...people/places/things...she is very apprehensive. Hence the leaning back into my arms staring at this new toy.

Give her a bit of time and she ususally warms right up. The airplane has become her favorite toy!

As you can see she DID NOT want Ruthie to put her arm around her for a picture. I think she was afraid Ruthie was going to pull her off the airplane. She was ready to swat her hand right off!

Reagan has just started using her pointer finger. I love this picture! It begs for the caption, "To infinity and beyond!!!"

I just had to include this picture b/c Nels (on the right) and Gigi (on the left) received Snuggies for Christmas. Schrade got a blanket of some sort and then it was decided that we needed a picture of the three of them together.

Things soon went from serious to silly and Schrade wanted out of the picture but Nels wasn't letting go. We were all laughing till we had tears in our eyes.

Here is Reagan in her Christmas dress at my parent's house. Since we weren't able to go to church this year (and I forgot to put it on her before), this is the only time Reagan wore her dress. I also wanted you to see how strong my "baby" girl is. She was picking up her own presents!

Just a cute picture of the back of the dress for memory sake. Ruthie wore the same dress in a bigger size when she was 2. I of course was hoping to find matching dresses for Christmas this year but they didn't have Ruthie's size.

This is Ruthie's very own water cooler! Her favorite gift from my parents. Well, for the time being. My parents also got Ruthie a pass to Kings Island. It will be Ruthie's first time riding roller coasters.

That's it for Christmas. I know the pics probably seemed all over the place, but the girls opened gifts numerous times in different places b/c we didn't want to get anyone sick.

Next up, Reagan's birthday!
