Easter morning in Fairfield the girls woke up to a trail of eggs leading to a small toy for each other them. Would you believe I forgot their Easter baskets at home?! Looks like we'll use paper bags!
Uncle Adam brought over doughnut holes for breakfast. Ruthie's eyeballs were bigger than her stomach! I could not believe she filled her plate with a huge mound. She actually planned on eating every single one of them. Bring on the bellyache!!
After breakfast we spent some time coloring eggs for the outdoor Easter egg hunt that afternoon. I think Reagan cracked every single egg she dropped into the cups while Ruthie worked hard on getting her eggs to be the perfect color.
The Easter bunny (aka my parents) hid a ton of real and plastic eggs out in the backyard.
Ruthie quickly filled up her carton...
and found her Easter basket hidden amongst the trees.
I helped Reagan find some of her eggs. Please try and not be blinded by my white legs. Holy Batman I need some sun!!! (I purposely did not post the up close pictures of my legs. You would have needed sunglasses to continue reading!)
Reagan was so proud of every egg she found.
She didn't really need too much help until the end.
CRACK!! Reagan didn't understand she wasn't supposed to squeeze the eggs to death. Who wants egg salad for dinner?!
At last she found her basket!
After the kiddos found their eggs and baskets it was time for the adults to find their one "magical" egg. Haley and Ruthie helped Brendan find his.
Every year the holidays get more and more fun as the girls get older. It is fun making memories and celebrating traditions as a family. Up next...photos from the professional photo shoot a couple of weeks ago!!
