You might remember a couple of months ago I mentioned that one of my Spirit Sisters was going to become a mom. Well, now I can reveal who it is!!!!
It's Sara!!!
She and her husband are adopting a little boy from Taiwan. They are naming him Isaac. He is SOOOO darn cute!!
We celebrated with a baby shower for Sara this weekend. I don't have a lot of pictures from the party, but I was in charge of decorations. I love going to the web and searching for unique party ideas. I created this sign out of my arsenal of scrapbook paper.
I forgot my camera so all I had was my cell phone to take pictures with. You get the idea of what the sign looked like hung up!
Sara said she was doing the nursery in a jungle theme with the colors mainly being brown, blue and green. I found the bedding she is using online and took screen shots of the animals.
I printed them onto paper, cut them out using all my fun scrapbooking tools, and attached them to the party favor jars.
Since m&ms come in primary colors I thought they were the perfect thing to put into the jars. I then stamped the tags and tied them to the lid.
The coordinator of the shower thought it would be a great idea to write heartfelt notes to Sara that she could keep and look back on. I had the perfect thing! I already had onesie and overall cutouts that could be hung on a string with mini clothespins.
I traced them out onto cardstock so everyone had enough room to write down what they wanted. I think they turned out pretty cute! I know the overalls look like a dress here but I did fix the legs with some scissors to make them look more like pants.
I also stamped Isaac's initials and birthdate onto some tags and tied them to glass pacifiers. We placed them around the tables at the party. The blue cards you see to the right in the picture are to write who the gifts are from on. They say, "Baby Isaac". It's just a fun little keepsake and something to go back to when it's time to write thank you's.
I could have gone bananas with a bunch of other ideas for decorations, but Sara wanted to keep things simple. That's probably a good thing. It could have been overkill!! We are all so happy and excited for Sara and her husband. Isaac is an answer to prayer!!!

I still can't believe all the cute stuff you made/did - I loved each one! :) What a fun post!
